Jane Sutherland is an artist specializing in pastels whose work has been selected for juried shows throughout New England. She has studied with Norma Machado in New Hampshire and with Claudette Gamache in Maine and in Southern France. Jane is a member of the Pastel Society of New Hampshire and the Newburyport (MA) Art association, and has exhibited with both groups. Her work is in private collections in Maryland and Philadelphia.

Jane began her creative efforts at The Toledo Museum of Art early in life, and pursued music as a profession for many years, both as a performer and educator. She later re-directed those efforts towards fine art, specifically the pastel medium.

Jane resides in North Andover, Massachusetts, with her husband.
